Supported Storytime

Join our series of low sensory story times for children and their carers who need more time to wiggle, settle and be comfortable in the library space.

The sessions will feature books, rhymes, wiggle movements and visual cues throughout, while being a friendly and supported space before the library opens to the public.

As the story time is held in the library before opening hours, we ask that you arrive a few minutes early or on time so you can access the building. If you are no longer able to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know as soon as you can, so we can alert anyone on our waitlist.

Please bring a drink and any fidgets your child needs, clearly labelled.

If you require anything specific in order to attend, or have any questions, please reach out to the Bathurst Library Team on 02 6333 6281. Please note we may not be able to cater to a specific request to accommodate your child but will do the best we can within the library space.

These sessions are a trial to assess if our community will attend and support a low-sensory story time, further sessions may be released, and all feedback you have would be appreciated.

Children must be accompanied by an adult carer at all times.
