Beamafilm is the leading Australasian-owned streaming service for watching the best ad-free, on-demand cinema. New titles are added regularly and Bathurst Library members have unlimited access, so you can watch what you like, when you like.
Getting started
To sign up for Beamafilm you'll need:
- your Bathurst Library membership number
- an email account
- an internet-connected device: mobile phone, tablet, PC or laptop, smart TV, etc.

Once you've signed up, you can also view content on your TV by connecting it to a computer or device via Apple TV, HDMI cable, or Chromecast.

Handy tips
Internet Speed: Beamafilm's adaptive bitrate technology chooses a version of the film that best suits your internet speed. A speed of around 850KB/second achieves best results.
Don’t know how to test your speed? Go to https://www.speedtest.net/
Data Usage: The average Beamafilm stream will use 500MB of data.
Browsers: Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari and Firefox are all compatible with Beamafilm. Check “Help” on the site for recommended version numbers.
Parental controls: You can set viewing restrictions and filter out M, MA15+ and R-rated movies by setting a password in the settings section of your Profile. You can also find kid-friendly content by selecting the Beamakids filter in the drop-down menu.
