1000 Books Before School

1000 Books Before School is an early literacy program designed to build important literacy skills in children prior to starting school. Any book a child reads or listens to, or a parent reads to a child, can count towards this goal.
Bathurst Library has thousands of books, audio books and online resources where children can read and listen to stories to help them with the program.

There are also regular children’s Storytime’s and Baby Rhyme Time programs run throughout school terms

How to join the challenge
1. Register with the free Beanstack Tracker app
2. Log your reading through the app or via the website
3. Collect milestone prizes as you earn badges
4. The challenge ends when your child starts Kindergarten or reads 1000 books.
