National Simultaneous Storytime

On Wednesday 27 May 2026 at 12.00 pm AEST, millions of children, parents, teachers and library lovers across Australia and beyond will come together to read Luna Roo at the same time — celebrating the joy of reading, storytelling and connection.

Published by Little Book Press, the story follows spirited kangaroo Luna and her friends as they chase their football dreams across the outback, blending action, teamwork and fun to inspire young readers.

Join us for this special storytime at Bathurst Library as we take part and read Luna Roo too.

Grab a colouring competition template from the library and return completed for your chance to win a Books Plus prize voucher. Comp open until 3pm, 24 May.

Please arrive from 11:45am to be ready to start at 12noon sharp.

Suggested ages 0-10yrs / Families / Preschool classes

FREE activity - bookings are essential

Please let us know if you need to cancel your ticket or use the online cancellation link on your confirmation email. 

All children and parents/carers attending should have their own ticket booked.

Preschool or daycare groups of up to 20 are welcome, please call us to enquire about larger groups, 6333 6281.
