Join us for a special In Conversation event with author Sonia Orchard as she discusses her powerful memoir, Groomed, shortlisted for the 2026 National Biography Award. 

With honesty, compassion and remarkable insight, Sonia shares her deeply personal story of grooming and abuse, exploring how manipulation can unfold over time, the lasting impact of trauma, and the resilience it takes to reclaim your life. Her memoir shines a light on an often hidden issue, offering understanding, hope and an opportunity for meaningful conversation. 

Writing workshop

Sonia will also be conducting a memoir-writing workshop on Saturday 17 October 10am-2pm at the Central West Women’s Health Centre.
